It's a Tuesday, Intel is ramping down the chips used in the current iMac, and the Apple Store is down - new iMacs today, anyone?

Edit: missed the threads that showed it was down last night - has it been down for quite a while, then?

Edit 2: aside from Canada and US stores, all the rest are up, so probably maintenance or something specific to Canada/US (iPhone would be great, Steve).

Probably not - Time Capsule + iPhone roadmap just announced - I suspect they'll get some air time before next week's iMacs....

I hope this comes soon as someone who is just waiting for their refund check to get a new Mac (and as someone who cannot wait to get it) i hope the update comes sooner then later.

Yes, I suspect you're right. The "special limited time prices" on iMac refurbs suggest to me that it will be sooner rather than later, but this week is likely too soon.

Agree-very soon, next Tues or the next max. Noticed on Saturday the Apple store here in Austin (Domain) had extra imac's where laptops had always been. Trying to drum up interest in them and move 'em out.
