I have been putting off getting an iPod touch since they came out because I wanted a larger capacity. Now that the 32GB is available I am ready to get one. I have been burned many times in the past when I have bought iPods and iMacs that a new version becomes available right after my purchase, usually for a lower price! Are there any hardware changes with the iPod Touch in the next few months that should make me wait? I know there will be updates this summer for software, I don't mind paying the $20 for that upgrade. I just don't want to see a camera or internal speaker added right after I purchase mine. Can someone ease my worries so I can go get this thing already?

Thanks!

Would love to buy the iPhone but my company provides with a cell phone (Verizon) and I just can't justify the cost of the iPhone and the monthly fee of the service when I don't need it.

A new version will come, but nobody here can tell you what exactly it will be. That's just how technology works. If you're ok with the device now, why would that be different if there's a new version next month, next quarter, September, or next year?

The electronics industry is such that no matter what you get, it will be outdated and/or superceded in six months by a better item. If you put off getting something because something better might come along you'll never get anything.

If what you see now is what you like and want - get it and don't worry about what you might have lost out on.

Pretty much what everybody says... In technology, you are guaranteed that the prices will drop and more features will be added in 6 months to a year... so you're SOL no matter what. I have a MBP SR that's lost ~30% of its value in 6 mos but I've really enjoyed using it and learn a lot about working with a mac. No regrets here...

If having a camera and internal speakers are deal breakers for you, then wait. Otherwise, you can get the touch or get a refurb iPhone and unlock it without subscribing for service. I'm sure I read that on the forums somewhere... look into that.
