hello everyone,

i have been trying VMWare and it is awesome. I actually dont use the VMs alot but when needed.

today, i though it will be better if put these Virtual Machines in an external hard drive so that i reduce pressure on the internal hard drive.

this seems better to me, but i still think that the MacOS is doing a bunch here, so it may not reduce the pressure on the disk alot.
anyway, i have lots of free space in my WD Mybook Pro with FW800 and the spinning speed there is good at 7200rpm.

anyone has any experience in this regard?

I have my 20GB Fusion VM on my external Iomega FW drive. Works great and doesn't take up space on my MBP.

Simply move the virtual machine from your internal disk to the FW disk.

Hope this helps.
