I bought the new MBP recently, and have been dreading and procrastinating this like crazy.

Whoops I just deleted the bluetooth stack by accident.

Back to what I was saying. I'm trying to reinstall xp on my previous laptop as a clean install to sell to my roommate since he needs it for a trip. The freaking thing won't die. Basically I did a fresh install of XP. But for whatever reason, it decided to not be so fresh and keep all the files, programs and my old user account folder under Documents and Settings. I don't understand how this is different that a clean install, other than the fact that it won't run the programs. They are just taking up space.

So I went to install Photoshop for him, and the thing kept erroring out when I would go to install. It was copying files to my old root user name instead of his new root. Then the stupid thing wouldn't let me delete it. I had to reboot into safe mode and change my permissions or some crap. I still couldn't end up getting everything deleted out of it. There were a few stubborn files left. So I was able to move the folder, and hopefully that will keep it from copying them to the wrong place. Its loading right now and it is going much slower, which is consistent with the last time I installed it.

I've spent hours trying to just get to this point. Its so freaking late. I have to wake up early to resign my apartment lease and then drive home for spring break to see my girlfriend. I'm going to be dead. I hope this fracking piece of crap will just install Photoshop.

I have my MBP sitting right next to the Inspiron 9300. This is clearly a much superior machine compared to the Dell crap. I just feel so peaceful when I switch over to the Mac. The screen is so much better also. Only thing that pisses me off is the CAPS key doesn't get activated sometimes when pressed. wHATS up with that? I know its a bad habit but i quickly tap that instead of hitting shift. I got away with it in typing class in 6th grade and now I can't go back!

Macs are amazing. I was thinking about putting the :apple: stickers on my car, but I thought someone would probably break into my car wanting to get some of my cool stuff if they saw that. Anyway, this random rambling has helped clear my mind for the night. I feel sorry for whoever wasted their time reading this. My apologies.

...still working on it..........

......hurry up MS OFFICE 2003!!!!!!

*DIES ALL OVER*
