Simple questions that I can't find an answer to in previous threads. It's possible the answers are buried in there somewhere. If so, sorry.

1) Can you boot into XP and/or Vista (using bootcamp) from the SATA ports on the system board?

2) What are the transfer rates (input and output) on these ports?

3) Does using these ports in conjuction with a Mac Pro RAID Card affect the transfer rates/latency of the drives connected to the RAID Card?

Thanks.

1. Yes, you can boot from drives with Windows installed that are connected to the internal SATA ports.

2. I don't know what the transfer rates are, I've never tested it.

3. I don't know if it would affect a RAID card.
