Just wondering if the keyboard is worn off easily.

I am a bit concerned about this issue since I saw pics of MBP keyboard being worn out. The thing is, I sweat a lot. -__-

So just wanted to know if there is any products that I can use to cover my keyboard? I love this keyboard so I want a product that takes nothing from the glory of typing on this keyboard.

Also, while we are on the subject, is the case fragile? I know it's not painted or anything but is it anything that I should worry about a lot? Like on the rest area where my sweaty hands rest a lot...:D

I've seen 2 year old mbp's keyboard look good as new still and I've seen 4+ year old powerbooks look good as new as well. Just dont get the keyboard dirty and make sure to wash your hands after eating to use the laptop, plus dont use the mbp with your hands wet.

the keyboard may become a problem, but it would for any keyboard. as far as the palm rest goes, just keep it clean and it should be fine. sweat and aluminum don't go real well together, but if you clean that area with a recommended cleaner i don't think you would have much problem.

I would just dilute the isopropyl alcohol 50/50 with water then use that so its even less harsh.

I had a powerbook G4 that I used for a little over two years I noticed the 'D key on the keyboard was a little bit worn in the middle, but the rest of the keys were just like new. My sister who has had her powerbook 1.33 for over 5 years has no wear on her keyboard.

I usually use externals on my laptop keyboards if theyre at my desk. I type A LOT and I blow through keyboards like you wouldnt believe. (Unfortunatly I like the expensive ones like the logitech dinovo series : / )

Now if you travel with it this isnt exactly an option.
