I'm in the process of learning Final Cut Studio 2, and I am having some trouble. I have created a template with Drop Zones in Motion and I am able to Add the template and edit it. However, after dragging to the timeline and rendering - the clip just turns to black footage. It's as if all my data is lost? I can see everything just fine in the viewer when editing clips, and before rendering if i click on a frame in the timeline, i can see the frame in the canvas. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

I have exactly the same problem like you.
i was thinking that my graphic card was the problem.
but i think that you have a good graphic card
