I'm reading a lot about the drawbacks of an integrated video card on gaming in the MacBook. The MacBook Pro is better because of the separate GPU. Does the same logic apply to TV shows and movies? I'm trying to decide what new laptop to purchase, and video viewing is one aspect of the choice. Sometimes TV shows were a little choppy on my first-generation BlackBook...
 
i have a macbook hooked up to a 24" 1900X1200 monitor, and play 1080p movies all day long. I even played 2 1080p movie files simultaneously and no lagging what so ever.
