Im getting a MBP 2.4 GHZ 256Vram etc....

Now I want to use it as e desktop at home and for college
So at home i want an external monitor, I will use it for some gaming(C&C GTA) and watchin movies what monitor do you think is best for me?

What size and what is a good price for that kind of monitor?
 
My Dell 20" cost me 400€. I think 1680x1050 will be sufficient to your needs.
