So, I have uploaded a file to a server and for some odd reason, when I download it again to the desktop it no longer opens nor can I open it in iTunes. A Quicktime window comes up saying, "This movie could not be opened. This file is not a movie file".

Obviously it is not a movie file, so why does quicktime try to open it as one? The file extension is ".mp3", I can not see any other real reason why it would not open up, as it playes directly from the server.

You beat me to it, psychofreak - I was going to recommend VLC as well.

By the way, ebaggsnyc you should not post the same message in different forums - it is against the rules.

does not play in VLC as well...

Sorry about that. I did not realize it was forbidden. Just wanted to get it read ASAP.
