iphone vs touch re sdk and app store

hi

could someone confirm this for me? all the applications to be created for the iphone will be available for the touch? i am wondering about the extent of the universality between apps for the two different products...

i understand that the iphone's phone and camera functions will result in apps specifically for it and not the touch..besides this will there be any separation in what will be available for either product...

just another query for the prospective buyer of one or the other.....

any reason for waiting a while in this respect regarding product updates? eg 3G on the phone.....
