Teens: do you have a plan?

WOW! I am exactly the same. I can't decide between those things minus the news anchor. ;D

I know I am only 14 but my school has gone major Decide what you wana do and DO IT! like. I have been telling my teachers (when I have to go to my What do you want to do in your future?meetings) that I like film editing but I also like music (I have been trying to remix songs) and graphic design. ARG!

Lets see in HS all I knew is I wanted to go intoengineering and that was better than a lot of my friends.

In my senior year I lock down the field I wanted finally. It was construction. More to the point large commercial projects. I wanted to be an architecture for the first 2 years while I was in Jr College and still was going after engineering since that was my primary goal. Transfered learned more about architecture and decided HELL NO and went Civil Engineering. 2.5 years later changed majors to Construction Engineering Technology and got my degree from that. Now I work for a commercial construction company.

Point of all that is just to show I still was locking down things in college. My freshman year of HS construction was not even on my radar for a career.

You are HS. You still have plenty of time to figure out it out. A lot of college students do not figure out what they want to do for a few years and very very few HS students know what they want. I was an exception to the norm. I knew what I wanted to do and everything over the years was fine tuning that to point of exactly what I wanted to do.

My goal is to be a graphic designer or a photographer. My cousin is headmaster of a very important design school in Barcelona. So I have more possibilities of getting an entry there.

I'm a Senior in high school right now and I do have a plan. I'm going to go to a Junior College for two years to get an AA in Photography, then I'm going to transfer to a 4 year college and get a Bachelors degree in IT. I've been guaranteed a job by my uncle in the IT field that he says will get up to a 6 figure income pretty quickly. Or anyway that's the plan right now.

Hmmm, plans?

Well, I'm a Junior right now and all I have planned for now is getting really good grades and doings as many extracurricular activities as possible. By that I mean being President of the Young Democrats club as well as Amnesty International. Also, I'm planning on doing maybe 3-4 political activities this summer. My plan right now is to have fun and dip my hand in the cookie jar of activities as much as possible.

When it comes down to colleges, I've actually thought of working doing 2 years of community college in California and becoming "in state". Then I plan to transfer into a UC school. I think I can get into one without having to go to a community college but the idea is to save tons of MONEY.

When it comes down to it though, I'm not worrying about "growing up". Life is one grand experience and I'm not going to fuss about how I get there as long as I know I'm moving forward.
