HP LJ2100 Printer Help

I am having issues printing to my LJ2100 printer at home, works fine under Bootcamp/Fusion but when I try to print under OSX all I get is just a one line print out of special characters at the top of the page and nothing else. I have tried the original drivers in OSX and also downloaded the drivers from the HP website but with the same results. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
