I have just bought a Time Capsule and I have a few questions;
1/. After I have backed up my Macbook Pro with Time Machine, can I delete say some movies off of my mackbook Pro (to save memory) and whenever I want to look at the movies just go and find them in the Time Capsule?
2/. I have heard that you can partition the Time Capsule, if so can you send files wirelessly to the Time Capsule and save them as a file similar to the way you could save files on a thumb drive?
Thanks

1. Yes, but remember that when the drive (or partition) fills old backups will be deleted. If you keep deleting and restoring, the drive will fill more quickly. If you never restore, eventually your movies will be lost.

2. Yes, but TM can not backup the drive it is on so this partition will not be backed-up. This may be a better place to keep your rarely watched movies/

ok so I have a Question then. I have a lots I mean GBs of music's.

and I have a Win Xp laptop aswell as my MACBOOK PRO. So my question a little of a Set up as I am doing to draw you a picture of what i would like to do.

Modem>TC>USB 500GB>then TC wireless to both laptops.

what I would like to do is this but all my music on the 500GB and point the iTunes from both laptops to the HD?

I have try this in the Pass with my Netgear router>Netgear IDE HD stage Box and it keep freezing the Win XP up, when I was playing podcast.

now that my ipod touch and my Wife as a iPod Nano and would mainly just pulling the music and audiobooks and podcast blah blah..

I would like to know if doing this set up would work?
