iPod touch ipod automatically going to home screen

When i am trying to flip through my music with it turned sideways(looking at the album covers) it will go back to the home screen on its own after a few seconds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Mine does it while I'm in Safari. Pain in the rear. Either there is some background process needing the OS's full attention, or it's a software bug.

Mine also seems to have this problem. But it seems to happen mostly while using Safari, every now and then while browsing it'll just head back to the home screen. It's occurred on my unit maybe 2 or 3 times. Hopefully it won't happen again.
