I currently have a MacBook, and am looking at getting a Macbook Pro.

If I would get a Macbook Pro, is there an easy way to transfer everything (programs, videos, pictures, files, etc) from my MB to my MBP?

Would it be as simple as putting the MP hard drive in the MBP, or cloning it to the MBP hard drive?

Or using some other software to clone the Macbook to the MBP.

I want to get rid of the Macbook once I get the MBP.

Thanks for your help.

get a firewire cable and connect the two. I believe you have to boot the macbook in target mode (hold T during bootup) and when you start your new macbook pro it will ask you if you want to transfer data from an old computer via Migration Assistant.

I've never done a computer to computer restore before however. I use a time machine back up to restore from.
