So anyone use Automator daily or frequently? I know I tried to use it and i WANT to like it but it can't seem to understand how to work it. It feels as if it is really useful but I don't hear a lot of mac users say that one of their favorite app is automator.

So what do you guys think? I think it sounds like I can rename a hundred files so easily without trying to press enter all the time and then naming it or that i want to get permissions to access several files which I am trying to do right now but too hard for me. I think the user interface can be a little more easier.

So is it really easy or hard and can anyone teach me or give me a useful link that successfully can teach a first grader. I tried some automator faqs but they don't help. :(

I used automator ONE time... I wanted to be able to right click on images and "Set as Desktop" like in windows. The option wasn't there but automator allowed me to add that option to the right click menu...

Automator can do so much more but I can't think of any more cool uses.
