Hi everyone. Hoping you can help me out here with a couple of questions.
To start off, here is my current inventory of "stuff".
Macbook, Windows Laptop, PS3, iPhone, HD-Tivo. All connecting wirelessly to a Linksys WRT54G.
I have a 160gb USB drive attached to the Macbook for TimeMachine backups.
I'm going after work to pick up some new hardware but I'm not sure what to do. Do I get the 500gb TimeCapsule and use that for TimeMachine and use the 160gb usb drive for movies and other large files that are filling my hard drive now.
Or do I get the Airport Extreme and just attach my usb drive to it and continue to use it for TimeMachine, and then maybe even get another usb drive for additional files.
Then, the final question, how do I set all of this up? I have read through the forums but my big question is what should come first. Cable Modem to the linksys then extend to the Apple Hardware or Cable modem to the Apple Hardware then extended to the Linksys. Obviously I probably only want the Macbook on the N network.
Thanks in advance!!
