I had this problem where whenever I added a buddy, the name blinked once or twice than disappeared. I looked this up online, and someone said to delete these certain .plists and that would solve the problem. Well, I did- but then my ichat wouldn't even opened so i was forced to delete it. I thought I could just download it again from apple, and guess what, YOU CAN'T. Talk about stupid. Will someone please send me Ichat either through email or adium i downloaded (which i hate)

my aim is davematthewsxvii, email davematthewsxvii@gmail.com
thanks

It's on your Leopard restore disc, in the Optional Installs package.

how do i do this exactly? which disc one or 2 and what do i click

I don't have a machine with Leopard restore discs, so I don't know for sure, but I assume it's on Disc 1. Just pop it in and open it up. There should be a package called "Optional Installs"...double-click it and you should be presented with a window giving you the individual apps you can install. iChat would be under Applications...just tick the box next to it and hit "Install".
