Just curious where some of you other MBP owners are sitting at with your battery status. I'm pretty sure I have a faulty battery.

Health: 75%
Cycles: 98
Age: 9 months

This is from coconutBattery 2.6.1

After 4 months I'm at:

Health: 93%
Cycles: 29

At 75% your battery health does seem really bad, if I remember correctly Apple will replace under warranty if it's under 200 cycles and lower than 80% (I think...). However I'm guessing that Apple will use the stats under Power in System Profiler which if it says Battery health: Good I'm guessing they won't replace it...

1 week old

iStat says:

100% health
5 cycles

Funnily enough though... It went down to 98% health at the beginning of the week and seems to have healed itself? lol

Anyone else had this phenomenon?

It will do that at times, nothing to worry about. Mine was down to 94% last week and is back to 97%.

97% health - 6125/6300mAh
73 cycles
Battery age - 12 months
MBP age - 22 months
1st battery replaced this time last year for decreasing health.

I just bought a used battery on ebay. its 100% health and 0 cycles...

do you think they were able to somehow refurbish the battery?

The battery health % is not exact--it is just used to give an estimate of how much charge your battery holds versus what it was originally rated for. If you calibrate your battery, you will get a more accurate reading, but small discrepancy of 1-5% is possible.

More likely, they had a battery they had no use for, and so sold it on eBay. If it says 100% health after you calibrate the battery, then you're fine.

but its pretty beat up. you can tell its been used. It still says 100% even after calibrating. Im not complaining, for 30 bucks shipped its a great deal

Health: 100%
Cycles: 10

I got my MBP in December '06, so you can see how often I've had it unplugged. :D
