How about fixing this one apple, when viewing/listening to a dvd/cd from a shared itunes library via front row, the artwork (CD covers/DVD Box Art) is blank. This worked in the leopard betas' but never has worked since release. I thought Apple was all about the experience, I guess they don't care about Front Row and shared libraries.

researching the issue. This question has nothing to do with itunes shared library artwork, but FRONT ROW. Please read my question before assuming you know what is being asked. :)

Bummer... sounds annoying as ****...

are you using it with your TV? cause i love my apple TV.. and it works great with coverflow n' such.

Yeah coverflow works great from a shared library on the appletv, but no love to with front row on leopard. What's odd about it too is that it worked in the leopard betas, then stopped in the released version. Obviously apple has no clue how to fix this or it would be fixed by now. Leopard is now 1 year old.

simbolic link?

i haven't tested ANY of these scenarios but i thought i'd bounce an idea off you guys...

and this is an IF{} statement ;)

If the problem only occurs when using externally stored iTunes library's...
have any of you tried using a symbolic link for your music folder to the external drive? (not an alias)

One think i know about iTunes is how it stores its library.xml file. the library.xml file is ALWAYS stored on the local drive in ~/music/iTunes while the rest of the library (all the actual music) is stored externally. Maybe using terminal/unix you can trick iTunes into working right with an external library?

let me know if it works... and if i find some time i'll test it too. good luck!
