How can I tell whether a video card will work in the Mac Pro or not. I know the type it has to be (SLI-E), but If I order a Mac Pro today, but want a better NVIDIA graphics card such as the 9800 GX2. is this possible? Please let me know!!!

Thanks!

Any graphics card is usable in Windows. Only the 7300 GT, 8800 GT, X1900, HD 2400, Quadro FX 4600 and Quadro FX 5600 are usable in OS X. The latter set must be purchased from Apple.

In time would this possibly change? I seem to remember ATI came out with some special Mac editions for my G4 Powermacs.

Would this be possible:

Have two video cards hooked up and then in windows disable the mac one, and on mac disable the other "Windows only" one.

I want to have an amazing video card for gaming on windows, so this seems to be my only solution, but would it work?
