I have a 1.1.4 iPod Touch (16GB) with the apps boughten from the iTunes Store, I want to jailbreak using ziPhone but I have a question.

Do I need to restore? I have so much music on there from my friends and what not that I can't get ahold of again. On top of that like I said I bought the apps and don't know if I can re-download or whatever.

Do I need to restore my iPod?
 
No. As long as it is not jailbroken. Plain vanilla will work fine, and you will not loose your apps.

If you bought the apps, they will reappear on the next sync.

In order to get the best results, it is reccomended to do a clean restore, and then jailbreak
