iphone now or 3G iphone?

Hey, guys~!
I'm thinking bout buying a iphone
Should I buy it now? or should I wait for the 3G update?

The reason why I'm asking this is becuz I bought a macbook 2 weeks ago...
and Ya'll know what happened, they updated the macbook on the firstday I got my new macbook...so I'm getting a refund from apple...
And guys, trust me....it sucks...I really dont want this happen again~

So please help

just wait, it will be so much better and more usable youll be glad

just concentrate on ur new mac for the time being :)

It really depends. If the only upgrade is 3G, then I'm not so certain but if there are other things to come with it, which should be noted is all speculation at this point, count me in!
 
With all these rumours it'll be best to wait. 3G seems to be right around the corner.
 
sorry to kind of hijack this thread but just to keep it interesting:

say your gf's bday is april 26th and you want to get her an iphone. her ipod video went to crap recently and she's had a really crappy phone for a while. i have the money to buy it for her obviously but i dont want it to be replaced in a few months and i also dont want to get her something else for her bday when she'd much rather have an iphone.

whats a guy supposed to do?

I was in the same situation. I wanted to wait but I didn't. I went and bought a 8 gig last Saturday. 3G would be nice but it does have wifi and edge isn't to bad when wifi isn't available. I am not on the internet through the iPhone that much anyway. I'll check email and sports scores, not much more. If we get a video recorder and pic and video messaging in the next update I'll be happy.
 
depends on what you want. i bought an iphone the day they went on sale and sold it a few months later only to buy another one two weeks ago. of course i'll still buy the 2nd gen version in hopes apple improves on many of the weaknesses of the 1st gen (and because i'm a cell phone nerd).

so if you have the money, buy one now. if you don't care and can wait, but it when the 2nd gen comes out.

How about manning up and deciding yourself? :p It really comes down to measurements;): Hot? iPhone her now. Not? 3G - gives you time to save the loot or find a better broad. Women like decision makers my friend. If you want, send me her number, picture, and measurements, and I'll get a hard answer for you :cool:
 
The best way to avoid that is to pay attention to what's going on. Before you swipe your credit card, spend 8 seconds on Google to make sure there are no indications of soon-to-be update.

For the iPhone, wait til June. At the very least we'll get more info out of them if people stop buying it.:p

My girlfriend just had her 30th birthday and I was in the same spot as you. I decide to get her the iPhone and she loves it. She had no idea she was getting it and was completely surprised. I amount she uses it and what she uses it for the 3G will not make a difference to her. She went from having a regular phone to an iPhone and with that in mind the EDGE speed is great for what she uses it for. A little mail, a little surfing, and checking weather during the day.

Buy her the iPhone for her birthday. Just my opinion and what I did for my girlfriend.

Do have to sign a new 2 year contract each time you buy a new iPhone. And can your old iPhone be transfered to someone else on your family plan?

yeh i guess thats true. she wont use the net that much and doesnt really stay on top of technology a whole lot anyway. i figure she'll use it mostly to play izoo on..

and trust me; the measurements are dead on...

I suggest u go ahead and buy it next week if nothing huge happened in this week, bro!~
 
Guys, have ya'll ever thought about dat
Even if iphone updated to 3G, and you got the new iphone
but you still can not video chat wit whoever you want
becuz he/she might not have a 3G phone anyway!~!~
