I have my itunes folder on my samsung 750 f1 and its in hard drive bay 2 but when I try and access a song from itunes for the first time in a while the drive takes a good 5 seconds to start up and im left with a beach ball.

is this normal? can i change it?

thanks.

the hdd is being put to sleep which is causing it to start spinning again when you click on an application that needs access to it. Do he said, disable hdd sleeping in power preferences.
