I tried searching and could not find a definitive answer. I have a rather large I-tunes library on my PC and have just bought a Mac book pro. I there an easy way to transfer my i-tunes library from my PC to my Mac? Would I have to download 3rd party software?

Thanks

Have you tried a simple copy? You can copy it to any place you like then to start iTunes hold down option key while clicking the iTunes icon and iTunes will Ask you to tell it which library.

Do you really want a "rather large" library on the MBP's internal disk? The MBP disk is not really large enough. You can have one on the internal and keep the bulk of your collection on a larger 500GB external. You can point iTunes to the correct library when it starts
