Ok, I've been trying to find a used 12" powerbook for some time now. I finally found one that I thought was a fair deal. 1.5 GHz, 80 GB HDD, 512 RAM (soon to be 1.25). I got it for $450. Some cosmetic wear, but nothing that will kill me.

Quick questions:

There doesn't seem to be an option for the secondary right click in the trackpad options. You know, the feature where you have two fingers on the trackpad and click the button to get the right click. I updated the OS, Tiger, to 10.4.11. Is there something special that I need to do? I can't find the option.

Second question. I intend to upgrade to Leopard at some point, but the person I bought this from didn't have the iLife disc. When upgrading to Leopard, is there a way to keep your files and iLife installed? Or does it automatically wipe it all clear?

Thanks!!

WOOT

Apple decided to include the two finger click for Powerbooks in Leopard (Not sure if for every Powerbook but my 17" G4 has it] , just enable it in the preferences when you upgrade.

You'll be able to keep all the programs if you select "Upgrade" instead of erase and install.

That's fantastic!
Scrolling and 2 finger right click.

Cheers iBookG4User!

Thanks or the link... unfortunately the first page says that it doesn't support PPCs that already have two-finger scrolling. It's a different device entirely. :(
