Ok,

I am finally going to buy a 16gb iphone in about 3 hours here in the UK. I know a new one will come out later this year, but i just can't wait.

But if a new one comes out, will I need to take out another contract or can i just carry the contract that i will setup tomorrow with O2.

By the way I dont plan on unlocking or hacking my iphone.

You will affectively be allowed to cancel your o2 contract to start a new 18 month contract on the new phone when it comes out.
