Hey you guys!
I'm Olaf, quite new here on the forum and i was hoping you guys could help me out. Since 3 months i'm the proud owner of a MacBook Pro 15" 2.16GHZ Intel Core Duo
I bought it of the dutch ebay (marktplaats.nl) So its not new, its used.
First all was well but since a month now my macbook has been crashing constantly
Sometimes it randomly crashes but there doesn't seem to be a logical reason on the surface for this. For this i've copied a error log for y'all. I can't seem to get smarter from all that. here it is (from earlier today)
When it crashes it does not really switch off, but i assume from my point of view that the notebook is still on. but it doesnt actually do anything anymore, the screen is black, and the only way to fix it is to restart by making use of the power button.
I can also make it crash physically. When i lift it up when it's open, and tilt it or when i bump against the notebook with my arm (not nessecarily hard)
It also gives me a hard time restarting back up sometimes. When i hear the start up sound (pong
) it freezes up and repeats the whole time untill i stop it with the powerbutton. Also as a variation sometimes it plays the start up sound like as if the sound card is broken (like a mix of white noise and the start up sound).
What i tried to fix the problem:
1) I called Apple Care. wlaked throught their standard steps (i had to press a combination of buttons (command control N if im not mistaking))
2) Disable the Sudden Motion Sensor Kexts
3) Remove 1 of 2 ram cards (in every combination / slot)
These 3 things did not really solve the problem. It got more stable then before though.
I'm wondering what you guys suggest. Thanks already for reading it!
