Folks,
I am switching to mac soon and will get a current MB Pro 15" and likely an iMac when the new ones come out (likely the biggest i think 24" screen).
Question is - gloss vs matte?
I am thinking gloss for the imac since i can to some degree control the lighting inside and matte for the mb pro since i may at times be outside, in other rooms etc.
I currently have a toshiba laptop with gloss screen that is unusable outside or in very bright rooms but have not compared the screens on the macs yet.
So, i am going to go to the apple store and compare them myself but i'd love to hear from people that have done this comparison themselves, had experiences with their own machines etc.

). I think you're spot-on with the decision to get a matte on at least the MBP because you have little control over lighting when on-the-go.
