Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone has connected their Macbook (not pro) to their HDTV and run Front Row to play DVDs either from the drive or from a Video_TS folder. I'm asking this because when running at 1920x1080 to my Sony XBR LCD, I get choppy playback of DVDs in Front Row, but not in the Apple DVD player. I know that countless people running Mac Minis do the very same thing using the GMA950 so is this a result of poor X3100 drivers?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem playing even regular DVD's on a display that is 1920 x 1200. When I reduce my resolution they play fine.

I can use DVDplayer at 1920x1200 and playback is smooth. Any thoughts?

I'm still having these issues. Even the Front Row interface is slow at 1920x1080p. I'm 99% sure it's the GMA X3100 drivers.

It works for me fine in dvd player and vlc. I happen to really like front row however and like how it's integrated with the remote control. (I can grab my remote, go in to front row, select a movie without ever walking up to my computer).

Any way of seeing which decoder front row is using? Any ideas?
