I don't think anyone has a graphics card with DisplayPort. The only cards that have DisplayPort will only fit in the Mac Pro and they are the high-end cards.
DisplayLink and DisplayPort are very different things. The original poster is talking about a product that is essentially a USB attached graphics card.
To the OP: I think it is too new for many if anyone to have tried it, however, they do have Mac OS X drivers in beta now that you can download for free. So in all likelihood it will work.

I am interested as well. I am currently using a MBP and the idea of using multiple external displays is something I was looking forward to. If anyone gets the chance of using this device with a Mac, let us know.

I do actually have one of the usb/dvi displaylink adapters from gefen.com, and I downloaded the beta drivers and it works perfectly on my macbook pro.
Granted - the drivers are currently beta, and there is much they do not do yet, color correction and 2d/3d acceleration for example. That said, it does work fine right now for normal desktop stuff, even at 1680x1050, and it's fast enough to watch youtube videos and such. Fullscreen video playback is pokey, and dragging around big windows is not as smooth as a native display but short of that, I can't tell the difference.
From what I understand, they are still working on the 2D acceleration. Once that's done I think it will be virtually indistinguishable from a builtin card.
Already it's pretty darn slick. Way beyond 'usable' as is.

Question I have to anyone is that if I wanted to use 2 external monitors with the MacBook Pro, can one of the monitors use the DVI input on the MBP and the other using USB? Or do both monitors have to use USB?

make sure to check maximum resolution that those usb adapters can output, often they can only drive monitors <24"....unless you are fine using lower resolution on a monitor which is capable to do more.

Yes. The USB adapter I got is capable of running 1680x1050 on my 20" monitor. I have actually run my macbook pro with 2 20" monitors- one on USB one on DVI.

I'm trying to shop around for 2 decent quality monitors for photo editing....came across a Dell deal running to the end of this month on the new 20" 2009W....buy one get one half price! Unfortunately it turns out they are only TN film panels

I have two BENQ 20" monitors. FP202W if I recall correctly- they are speedy and pretty inexpensive.
The one thing I will warn you about the usb video is that the built-in color correction/calibration in Mac OS X does not yet work with the current drivers.
That said, the BENQs I have do have lots of color correction / gamma / etc. settings builtin to the monitor - so you can probably get it looking ok with just the monitor adjustments - but for real true-color application windows you'll definitely want to keep them on the screen connected via the DVI port... at least until they get the drivers updated.
