Best Screen Protector

Yes, I realize there is a thread about cases but this is ONLY for screen protectors unless there is already a thread just for that.

I ordered the invisible shield and haven't even put it on yet. I think I made a mistake.

Also, are there any STATIC cling - I mean really static. I have seen some that claim to be static cling but you have to either wet them or they are sticky.

Any recommendations here?
 
I current use Power Support's Crystal Film Set on my iPhone and have to say that I am very pleased with it. It uses static to cling to the screen very tightly, without liquids, and feels very secure. An added bonus is that is nearly invisible at every angle and feels very similar to the glass exterior of the screen. No bubbles either. Putting it on is a little troublesome though, as the static nature will attract random dust floating in the air when you're trying to put it on, so you should try applying it when you've controlled for that as much as you can or else you might see little spots when using the phone. Other than that initial trouble, the product has been great. I highly recommend it.
 
Installed The Invisible Shield On Screen & body

Well I broke and put on the Invisible Shield (I had ordered two because the shipping was the same whether you bought one or two).

I put the screen protector on it yesterday and the full body part today. Can't say as I like either one but really have nothing to compare them with.

The screen protector is not completely flat. It is crystal clear but has dimples kind of like orange peel you see on your car's paint finish. Smooth but not completely flat but the sensitivity is either the same or even better so that is nice.

The body kit is the same. Very shiny and smooth but does have the same kind of dimpled finish - again like your car's paint finish (or at least some of them) and a little tooth to it so it is not as slippery as the iPhone naked.

The Body Armour one I think is completely flat - a piece of "hard" plastic (certainly bendable) but not as floppy as the Invisible Shield.

As far as installation goes, DON'T TOUCH THE SCREEN PROTECTOR WITH YOUR FINGERS because you will live with the fingerprint. I personally think lots of water (ok solution) makes installation a lot easier than less. The screen protector went on pretty good. I have one very, very small dust spot that you cannot hardly see and wound up with a small bubble (pretty flat actually) but the next morning the little flat bubble area about 1/4 round was gone. It should be a 1/32 of an inch wider to fit the entire screen however.

The full body skin went on very easily and fits pretty well I think but the corners gave me fits. The trick seems to be just like they say, let it dry a little and they eventually will stick down. Just keep pressing with your finger and the little black squeegie. Obviously, don't know yet how they will wear.

They are very expensive (even on sale for $14.95 per kit) when compared to the screen protectors you can buy for your pda from Fellows (like $10 or so for 12 - a years supply) and other places. I guess it's because they are for the iPhone.

These certainly make the phone super shiny and it attracks dust as well. I ordered the Seidio Skin and Holster so I can carry the iPhone on my belt. I hope the Super Slim Rubberized case will fit over the Invisible Shield. If not, well on to plan B (whatever that is).

I loved these until my sis dropped my iPhone onto my steadicam leaving a mark on the scren protector.

But its good. The protector got cut by a knife and the iPhone was fine.
 
That mirrored screen protector is pretty sweet. I think I'm going to have to buy one. For now I'm using the Power Support Anti-Glare Film set right now.

It does. But companies will still sell anything to the uninformed to make a quick buck. Where else can you sell a 1 cent piece of plastic for 15 dollars?
 
I just recently received my invisible shield screen protector. The concept is great and great material, but so far I am not very happy. First it seems that the shield was diecut wrong because it lines up prefectly with the right side of the screen but on the left there is about a 1/8" gap on the left side. The right side goes prefectly under my black slider case, but the left is still exposed, which leads to problem number two. The exposed edges are so tacky that they just eat up pocket lining. There are all kinds of fabric strands just busting out all over the edges of the film, around the home button, earpiece, etc.. So finally I am thinking about sending it back and going with the Power Support Anti Glare film. Can anybody that has these installed with a Incase Slider comment on how well the screen is covered and they fit?
