Input Delay on new Mac Pro

I just got a new Mac Pro and I have been noticing delay when I type in my browser. This happens in both Safari and Firefox. When I scroll it is also choppy. This happens when I only have the browser app open too, so there is plenty of ram in reserver. Any ideas? A computer with this much firepower shouldn't have this issue.


New 2nd Gen Mac Pro
Single Quad core
2 gb ram
8800gt Video Card
500 gb 1st bay drive
320 gb 2nd bay drive
 
My scrolling is choppy too! But then, that's on a 500 MHz G4 processor on a 66 MHz system bus. And typing isn't choppy.

My guess is Spotlight may be to blame.. recently back up/install a bunch of stuff?
