So my wife finally gave in and switched to the Mac side and I bought an Imac to replace our fudged up gateway. The gateway we had, had a problem in the motherboard so I gave the tower to family for parts and kept the newly replaced hard drive. I transfered the hard drive to it's own case and now cannot figure out how to remove all of the music and photos from it. Can anyone give some tips here?

Hi,
the hard drive is probably formated in the NTFS file system. Leopard can only read NTFS but not write to it.
Go to Disk Utility /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app) and format the disk (it's called Erase in Disk Utility).
This will delete everything from that drive (as formating does).
You could also install MacFUSE and NTFS-3G to gain read/write access to NTFS in Mac OS X. But I recommend formating it in HFS+ (Mac OS Extended) since both of you will be using Macs and NTFS is not needed any longer.
Hope this does what you want.

Hmm.. now I'm not sure, how your hardware setup looks like.
So, you have the internal hard disk of the PC in an enclosure and run it as an external connected to your Mac?

So if you see the files on the external, you should be able to drag the files directly to your Mac's hard drive.
Try this: select a bunch of photos and drag them to the Desktop.

I can't even find them. I can find pictureit10, but all I see are a bunch of dll files and nothing resembling pictures...... argg
Unless your program kept the files compressed in some library like iPhoto does, most of the time the windows pictures were kept in your "My Documents/My pictures" Folder.
Have you tried doing a wildcard search in finder for the photos on the drive? i.e. looking for all .jpg's or .gif or .tiff or whatever file format it was you saved your pictures as?
Let me ask you some more questions:
"How" did you use your photos, music, etc. on the PC. Did you have special software to view the pictures? The same for music; how did you open it? Again, any special software?
