Accessing a hard drive through an Airport Extreme remotely.

I bought an Airport Extreme and a Western Digital 500GB hard drive. They are connected via USB. Is there anyway possible to remotely access the hard drive? Without using .mac of course. I don't know if my IP is static or dynamic if that make a difference. Thank you
