Does anyone know if apple is fixing this yet? I just started having this issue today. Seems to happen every time I close my laptop to put it to sleep and then open it back up again.

edit: of course as soon as I post this a ton of other posts on the same topic pop up. Mods, feel free to delete this post. I'll just follow the other ones that are popping up. Apparently this is becoming an increasingly popular issue...

the Apple geniuses I spoke with said that there is no repair for this and that Apple will issue a firmware/software update that will fix this...hmmm, not sure what to believe. They kept my MBP for five days and then called me to tell me that they can't fix it.

That's like telling a driver reflashing the ECU will fix the worn out brakes.

I was pretty pissed. Luckily I could return it to amazon and get a replacement and the new one hasn't shown any stripes in the three months I've had it....does anybody actually know what causes this?

Happened to me once too, I just restarted and it was fine, hasn't happened since but hopefully a FW update comes out for it.

happened to me ONCE too, right when I got the sucker!

havent seen it since in 6 months.

It likes to hide, good thing too!
