I am still connected to my original wired adapter and haven't gone wireless yet. I was wondering what's a good wireless adapter for me to purchase around 100- dollars so i can have my desktop, xbox 360 and get a wireless signal for my MBP? Feel free to leave a few options, because the bestbuy near me never has S**T.

I just bought a $3k MBP only to discover this evasive wireless problem exists......and I'm connecting to a new $500 1TB TC; they should speak the same language. My 4 year old Dell Inspiron and MS wireless router had a more reliable/constant connection...unlike my new Mac experience. Wish I would have known this prior to making the switch and investing so much $$$.

I've been using the D-Link DIR-655 for quite a while now with excellent results. It services my mini, the iMac 24" 2.4 ALU, a wired printer and my iPhone. Also a WinXP with a wireless card installed.
It's nice in that it supports all the 11x wireless modes and has 4 built-in gig ethernet ports. The setup also has anything one would need. This is not a plug for D-Link, just my experience - a retired network guy.

I went ahead and purchased the Linksys Wireless Broadband Router WRT160N. I got home Hooked my cable modem up to the wireless router connected my pc to the 1st port and it was up and running set the name of the network and set my password. Turned on my MBP and find my network but it keeps telling me my password is wrong. I wanted to uninstall it and do it again but it wont let me. Any help on this? (When I click Join on the MBP, it'll say connecting to network and then say incompatible security).
A quick follow-up. I reset to factory settings by pressing the reset button on the back. I'm good to go now but the password for my network is the security key they gave me not the password I chose for my network. How can I change the password to what I want it to be?
On the Linksys, go into Wireless -> Wireless Security Tab. Set your security mode (WEP, WPA2 Personal, etc - I recommend WPA2 Personal as it is more secure than WEP). Then set the encryption type (ie, AES). Type in a paraphrase and save settings.
Then on your MBP, go into Network Prefs, select the Airport and chose your network connection (SSID of your Router). It should then try to connect to it and prompt you for a password. If you used WPA2 Personal, type in the same paraphrase you used for the Linksys. If you used WEP, type in the Hexadecimal key that was generated on the Linksys (you should be able to copy and paste from one to the other).
BTW, I just upgraded mine to the Linksys WRT310N yesterday. Setup was a snap.
