One more question, what core software did you add to your purchase?

Is I work of any value?

I agree that if you're using it a lot Office is a better product. However, for the little I try and do that stuff on what is supposed to be my 'non-work' machine iWork works beautifully. So IMO it'll depend on just how much you're planning on doing word processing etc
