Toast 8 Titanium: encoding a DVD

I'm encoding a (1.4GB)movie file to a DVD at high quality, for the first time, and I noticed it only fully utilizes maybe 2 of the 8 cores. On average, I'd say maybe 230% CPU usage total.

At this pace, it will have taken nearly 4hrs to complete the encoding and burn.

Is this normal? Is there any app that maybe performs a little better with encoding, or a setting I can adjust?

CPU: 2x 2.8Ghz Quad Xeon
RAM: 8GB (8x 1GB)
HD: 1x 750GB Samsung
Video: Nvidia 8800GT
