What has migration assistant copied

I just got my new 17" MB Pro and have moved everything over from my powerbook with migration assistant. Everything sems to work well, but it has used up a lot more disk space than I expected. My old machine had 70gb used total (including the OS). I chose to migrate everything except applications, and there is now only 150gb free on the new machines 250gb disk. I had expected Leopard to be a bit bigger, but not 30gb bigger !

Is there a way to see exactly what was copied ? I suspect it has moved accross more than I needed and finding it will be a hell of a job if there isn't some sort of log.

Any advice appreciated !!!
 
well first off 250GB hard drives are actually ~233GB when formatted and shown in binary. so if you had 70GB used on your Powerbook that would make 163GB free. do you have any idea what the extra 13GB might be? are you sure its just not the OS and the bundled apps? 13GB sounds about right for a Leopard, iLife and iWork trial install.

to help you could use Disk Inventory X to check the file size of everything on your hard drive.

That helped. For some reason there is a 3gb /library/printers folder. Does that seem right ? Can I uninstall some of these - i only have 1 printer.
