I think I have finally settled on a case, the Vaja Top case. I mainly want a case to offer full protection, with the screen being my number one. I'm usually at the gym and my concern is during weight-lifting or jogging etc if the phone falls out of my pocket or if I bump agaisnt something, I want to be covered.
As I was looking around at cases and different posts, I found something odd. I notice the Incase Slider (and cases with a simular design) are very popular. I don't understand why people buy cases to protect their iphone, yet the screen is completely vulernable. If you drop an iphone with a case that has the screen exposed, you are risking cracking your screen. At that point, who cares about scratches on the back or sides? It just seems odd how people are even spending money on these cases that only protect the back from scracthes. So most of these cases are out of the question for me, I'm not going to drop 35 bucks for a case to protect only the back/side of my phone, yet a lot of them are scratching your phone anyway.
Then I checked out this clear case by Artwizz and also Ivyskin makes one like it. Snug fit style case, like the slider, but also has a plasic film that covers your screen. And you are able to access your phone with the protective screen cover. This didn't seem like a bad idea. But after I checked around a bit, there are ppl complaining. Dust builds up inside these cases and scratches it up and also has done some damage to the screen. Once dust etc gets insdie the case and builds up on the screen protector, it will start to damage your screen during use. So I decided to drop the idea for these cases aswell.
Now I came around to the Vaja Top cases. This seems like a perfect fit for me. iPhone is fully covered, premium leather, soft for shock absorbption from bumps and also has some hardness to it for drops agaisnt sharp objects. Screen is fully covered, huge plus. And the case looks highly stylish, another big plus. Nothing sucks more then to spend $400 on a gorgeous device, only to have to cover it up with something that looks like garbage.
My main problem with the Vaja Top case is simply the big flap you have during use. It seems like as I use the phone during a call having this big flap waving in the air is going to be a huge annoyance. I wanted to know if it was possible to fold the flap behind the phone and then grasp it during use? I'm looking for phone protection not to set sails!
If anyone here has the Vaja Top case or Top SP etc. If you could put up pics of what it looks like during a call (flap open with case to the side of your face)... also if you could put up a picture of the flap folded behind the phone.
