Simple Safari questions

@1, I don't think it does it well. I mean 50 tabs. If you go opening over 20 tabs, then it adds a silly arrow icon to choose a tab from a drop down list. Am I wrong? This is not an automatic way to make tabs smaller.
Can I control this feature and make tabs really small?

...If you have 50 tabs open, you need to learn how to manage your browsing better. Seriously. Why on earth would you need 50 tabs?
As for multiple rows of tabs, I'm pretty sure Saft does this. But it's a hack, as are all Safari plugins. If you really want a more extensible/modifiable browser, I'd suggest the Firefox 3 betas.

No sure, I do see your point about the arrow, its not a great implementation.
FWIW Camino does multi-rows of tabs, Firefox doesn't by default, but with an extension probably does.

I am using firefox already.
But it needs much power on my mac.
Safari seems lightweight but I have to find ways to do my tasks with its tabs.
I already have multiple rows and custom-sized tabs in my firefox on mac os x.
But I hoped there were similar suggestions in safari.
No simple solutions at all?
Hacks are the only way to make these things in safari?
I knew it lacks customization but I though these were simple things.
