Forgive me if this question has been asked a hundred times. I am new here & I have searched everywhere for answers already. We just got CS3 & I want to run it on our laptop & our new IMac. I know you can install it on 2 computers, but everyone says it a no go for running it at the same time if you are connected to their network.
1. Is this true?
2. Will I be able to have one machine not connected to the network so I can run both at the same time when either me or my husband are out of town?
3. Any other tips/advice you guys can provide?

Thanks!!!

Well, the license is only for a SINGLE user on two computers - i.e. I have a copy on my MacBook Pro and on my desktop machine. Legally we're only allowed to use one copy at a time, however, which given that I'm the only user isn't a problem for me...

Any morality issues aside, however, the fact that CS3 phones home will not prevent you using the apps on both computer simultaneously provided they're not both on the same local network, and the likelyhood of Adobe actually paying attention is pretty small - they're after the large-scale pirates, not the little guys. If you're paranoid, however, just use Little Snitch, and set it to block CS3's attempts to broadcast its presence on one of your machines.

Thanks! I have heard people talk about "disconnecting" from the server. Will this work instead of using Little Snitch? Also, does that just mean I need to disconnect from my wireless internet while using CS3?
