Ok, right now I have both on my computer but I'd like to condense it to one because they each have a ~2GB library.
My question is this: what are the strengths and weaknesses of both and why would I want to use Aperture over iPhoto, or the other way around?
Right now I only have a point and shoot Samsung camera (a NV10) but I think I'm going to be getting a Canon Xt soon. It will all be "hobby" photography, not professional work.
After using both my impression so far is that Aperture is made more for professionals (icon is a SLR lens), while iPhoto is more for "fun" (a point a shoot in the icon). I like that everything in Aperture has an easy keyboard shortcuts, and I like full screen mode better than iPhoto's. But navigation in iPhoto seems much easier and as a program it just feels less cluttered.
EDIT: Oh, and one more question. When I eventually uninstall one it's safe to delete it's library file, right?
Advice?
