leopard file sharing, permissions issue, too much

Hi I am able to connect from my vista media center to my leopard machine. Problem is that I get too much access. I first tried to just set it to read only for my user account(adminastrator) and it would always give me full control over all the subfolders, it sets read only for the root folder that is shared but anything inside there is fair game. So after trying the guest account, can't even get it to connect, and a user account that was setup for sharing only, can't get it to connect. I setup a full user account but not an administrator account and thought for sure if I connect as that account it shouldn't give me any more access than read for a folder that it doesn't own. but sure enough I connect from my vista machine using the new limited account and it can still delete and move files in subfolders.

I'm trying to share my itunes music folder so we can access the music from media center on our tv. I can't believe its giving me too much power I would think it would error on the side of caution.
