Encoding from Quicktime to Xvid in Leopard

Hi

Does anyone know how to export a movie from Quicktime as Xvid.
I have DivX and Perian and Quicktime component installed, but I cannot find an export to Xvid option in Quicktime (Pro).

i'm not at my mac right now but you might need to actually install the xvid codec as opposed to just having perian on board. Then make sure you choose the correct export setting.

I have a feeling that still won't work though and you'll need to find some freeware or shareware to do the conversion for you.
 
Get ffmpegx, that should let you convert from just about anything to just about anything else.

Out of curiosity, why are you converting it, you are just going to lose quality.
