Hi, im new here and i was wondering if it is a good idea to buy a macbook for school work and music work ... I'm going to be a freshman next year and I need a laptop. I was thinking of getting the black macbook that will be coming out this June/July/August and wondering if they will be upgrading the graphic card and some other stuff.... thx

Macbook for Logic Express and school work

I just bought Logic Express for my Macbook this week and it runs a lot better than I thought it would. I haven't done anything intensive yet, but so far everything seemed to run pretty smoothly. The only drawback is the hard drive size/speed compared to a desktop.
But really I haven't done that much with it yet. Macbooks will continue to have integrated video, I doubt that will change much anytime soon.

My friend ran logic studio on his core duo 2ghz!!! he said it ran fine, but he just got his MP, so logic express should run pretty smoothly.
