batch delete or setting up Mail to delete from server?

i know there wasn't a batch delete feature on previous firmwares, but i thought i heard it was coming with 1.2 (2.0). true?

if not, i don't have a gmail account, but my email is run through gmail's server. if i delete messages from my iphone, it deletes them on my email when i log in through gmail. however, i rarely use that and use Mail on my MBP instead. is it possible to set up Mail to delete emails from gmail?

second question, is it possible to add folders to email on the iphone? it's annoying that my inbox is flooded with messages when i keep things nice and organized in seperate folders on Mail.
