Hey, long time reader first time poster.

I just applied for the WWDC scholarship and was wondering if anyone knows the approximate number or probability of getting in?

Just nervous and impatient, I'm in Ohio so its a big deal to fly out an all.

Still waiting. I wonder how long till we hear back. Has anyone got accepted yet?
 
its Monday April 28th and still no word. 3 more days. Its going to be exactly on the 31st I bet, just to make me sweat.
 
I'm waiting as well. Have been waiting for a long time, but I'm expecting a Tuesday announcement, :)
 
So much for a Tuesday announcement. I guess tomorrow? I can't take the waiting.
 
yep. it's now wednesday. It's got to happen Today unless they don't meet their deadline.

Has anyone bought air fair yet? Just wondering if anyone is getting any deals.
 
It's now past 9:00 west coast time. This is killing me. I woke up and saw an email from apple but it was for entering your iphone app for ADC contest. Ahhhhh. When are they gonna' announce?
 
Anyone taking bets on if we even get a decision today?

I was hoping for an in person presentation by Steve with like a plaque, food, and the president of my university. A write up in the ACM journal wouldn't hurt either. Its only 12:47, there's still hope.

I should just turn off Mail, the mystery would be better than the repeated disappointment.
 
I'd hate to sound pessimistic here, but what if none of us received it? How would we know? They're only going to email the recipients of the scholarship, correct?

Well on the developer.apple.com/students site, it says
Students who submitted their application by April 10 will be notified of their status in April.

That makes it sound like all entrants will be notified
 
Turns out Steve got his hands on the applications this year, he found every single resume either sub par or just so poorly designed that he denied everyone. Guess there's always next year.
